Grain by Mail

We’ve been offering grain (as well as flour) for sale to our customers for some years. We undertake additional grain cleaning processes to ensure that our grains are as ‘pure’ as possible – free of chaff, dust and seeds from other plant species. Given the increasing popularity of home milling, we now have a dedicated page promoting our ‘Grain by Mail’.

Please find below our range of Milling Wheat (for bread flour), Rye and Spelt grains in convenient sizes of 3kg, 12kg and 25kg bags and sacks.

The Prior’s Organic Wheat Grain

For your home-milled wholemeal bread flour, we offer a Paragon variety wheat from Woodlands Farm, Lincolnshire. The flour is getting rave review with a protein content of 13.7%, it is silky, extensible and produces fantastic loaves! It has a delicious nutty flavour, excellent for pastry as well as bread.

The Prior’s Organic Rye Grain

For your home-milled rye flours, we offer our rye grain. Ripe, juicy rye berries – great for soaking as well as milling!

The Prior’s Spelt Grain

Whilst spelt grain is more oily than both wheat and rye grains, our home-millers tell us that they get great results milling spelt in their table-top mills.

Cleaned and de-hulled carefully to mimimise husk , try our spelt grain for your home mill!

We’ve found a farmer in Worcestershire and we’re just loving baking with the 13.4% Mulika grain! Milling will commence in around 10 days from now once we’ve finished the last sacks of our stunning 2019 harvest grain. Sadly our East Anglian grain options did not hit the quality mark this year.
